This is a free NHS service to measure your blood pressure over 24-hours. We will perform a clinical assessment prior to fitting and supplying the monitor. Based on your results we will advise you on any lifestyle changes and speak to your GP.
This service is free and available on the NHS for anyone undiagnosed and on medication for high blood pressure. It is especially important for those with relatives who have hypertension or if you have recognised symptoms.

Vaccines can only be given to children if the child’s birth certificate and the ID of a parent or guardian are seen by the pharmacy.
This two-course vaccine is recommended for all children under the age of 13, adolescents and adults who have not been vaccinated and have not had chickenpox. In addition, the NHS strongly recommends the chickenpox vaccine to healthcare workers, laboratory workers in direct contact with the virus, and those who are in close contact with someone with a weakened immune system (such as a sibling of a chemotherapy patient living in the same household).
The chickenpox vaccine can be booked via our website and costs just £65 per dose or £120 for both. We will inform your surgery to update medical records.
There are some things you could try that may help your child's vaccination appointment go smoothly:
- Let us know if someone else is taking your child for vaccinations – or give the person a letter with your contact details.
- Dress toddlers and older children in loose or short sleeves – they'll have their injections in the arm.
- Stay calm during the vaccination – it's natural to worry but it might make your child anxious and restless.
- Let your child know what's going to happen in simple language – for example, "you may feel a sharp scratch that will go away very fast".
- Hold your child on your knee during the injection.
- If you're worried about seeing injections you could ask another member of our team to hold them for you.

In addition, the NHS strongly recommends the chickenpox vaccine to healthcare workers, laboratory workers in direct contact with the virus, and those who are in close contact with someone with a weakened immune system (such as a sibling of a chemotherapy patient living in the same household).

Visited on a Sat morning with my granddaughter who was is terrible pain with ear ache. The pharmacist was absolutely great. He exanined her, explained everything and prescribed antibiotics, he was so good with her. Thank you so much.

Contacted my GP via econsult then by phone because it said to do so, about an ear infection. By text message they referred me to the pharmacy first service incorrectly. This nhs service is only for under 17s with ear related issues! which was explained to me by the pharmacist.
BUT, what an incredibly kind person Sid is at Wainwright's Pharmacy Bishopstoke. He could see the shock of being told I would have to pay a £25 fee for an ear investigation as 'I was a couple of years over 17' 🤣
(I cannot begin to express how frustrated, angry and disappointed I am with Stokewood Surgery triage service. I work and pay my taxes and rarely use my GP service, at a time of feeling very unwell for over a week, I do not expect to be referred to a service I will then have to pay for privately for a medical condition that should be investigated & treated by my GP service!!)
I explained my health situation to Sid, he took me under his wing and has identified the problem, prescribed appropriate medication, provided aftercare advice and on this occasion waivered the fee for checking my ears.
The level of service, expertise and kindness I received today was exceptional. It also sets the benchmark level of service I would expect from my GP services, but didn't receive.
