Welcoming staff and an ear genius, after being fobbed off by my doctor,I was told within minutes what was actually wrong with my ears, prescribed some meds and have a plan of action going forward. Please give us at least 48hrs notice to ensure we have the vaccines available.
Vaccines can only be given to children if the child’s birth certificate and the ID of a parent or guardian are seen by the pharmacy.
This two-course vaccine is recommended for all children under the age of 13, adolescents and adults who have not been vaccinated and have not had chickenpox. In addition, the NHS strongly recommends the chickenpox vaccine to healthcare workers, laboratory workers in direct contact with the virus, and those who are in close contact with someone with a weakened immune system (such as a sibling of a chemotherapy patient living in the same household).
The chickenpox vaccine can be booked via our website and costs just £65 per dose or £120 for both. We will inform your surgery to update medical records.
There are some things you could try that may help your child's vaccination appointment go smoothly:
- Let us know if someone else is taking your child for vaccinations – or give the person a letter with your contact details.
- Dress toddlers and older children in loose or short sleeves – they'll have their injections in the arm.
- Stay calm during the vaccination – it's natural to worry but it might make your child anxious and restless.
- Let your child know what's going to happen in simple language – for example, "you may feel a sharp scratch that will go away very fast".
- Hold your child on your knee during the injection.
- If you're worried about seeing injections you could ask another member of our team to hold them for you.

"I cannot fault the whole experience of this “old school” chemist! Welcoming staff and an ear genius, after being fobbed off by my doctor,I was told within minutes what was actually wrong with my ears, prescribed some meds and have a plan of action going forward. Can’t thank you all enough. I shall be recommending to friends and family in the future."

Period delay tablets are taken as one tablet three times a day. For the tablets to work, you need to start taking them three days before your period is due to start. They'll delay your period for three days after you take the last tablet. Although they contain a synthetic type of female sex hormones (also found in the contraceptive pill and mini pill), they won't stop you from getting pregnant, so you’ll still need to use contraception (like condoms or a contraceptive diaphragm).
The consultation is free, discreet, private and confidential, and takes less than ten minutes with an immediate supply if all’s well. You only pay for the course of tablets.
Please note - the £30 non-refundable deposit is removed from the final cost.

Been using this Pharmacy for just over a year now and never had any problems at all. Being a Type 1 Diabetic i have a lot of medication to collect and seems seamless every time, and if not, they are extremely apologetic which is everything in this day and age. Highly recommend.

What a service!
People, who care and respect you. Providing an outstanding service, keeping you fully informed as to what process and procedures they are following.
I was advised to find a suitable pharmacy with an issue from my doctors surgery and chose 'Wainwrights'.
They carefully reviewed my symtoms and on completion of an examination confirmed yhe findings with the pharmacist.
Who promptly, summerised the issue. Advising me what precautions to follow to assist recovery.
Then confirming, He would email my doctors surgery and copy me in, with a summary of these findings for future reference and actions if required.
Brilliant!
I am, 'Very happy', with the high quality service and guidance provided.
Thank you - Mrv (the apple man) - Rhiannon Brenton··from Google
